Date night. Jake and I split up our date night into two nights. Last night we went to the movies and saw "The Dark Knight Rises". Jake has been waiting for it to come to theaters here, and was so excited that we went last night. He walked out of it like a giddy school girl and kept asking me..."on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best... how good was that movie?" He clearly would have agreed if I said 10. But I give it a 9.5 because I was exhausted and fell asleep for about 20 minutes of it so to be fair my rating shouldn't count. :) It was a good movie. Jake thinks it is the best one of the year by far. It was very well done.
Tonight we continued our date night with dinner out.
Jake called me while I was finishing up work and said, "we are going to chinese for dinner." Long story short Jake took two kids diving today at work whose father owns all the chinese places on the island. It is good food, we used to eat there often with friends but have been eating in and saving money lately. JC the owner offered for us to come in this evening and dinner would be on him. So we went and had some sushi and just enjoyed being done with work and having a nice night out...it was just an extra perk that it was complimentary. :)
The Dragon Roll! YUM!
My handsome husband enjoying his sushi.
My placemat informed me that I was born in the year of the rabbit. Clearly, I am talented and articulate as it says.
My placemat also informed me that Jake was born in the year of the ox. I can see this, the description describes him perfectly.
We ended the night with our fortunes... Mine was the top one. I tend to get statements in my cookies instead of fortunes. Jake had a giant smile on his face as he read his! "You will travel to many places"!! What a great fortune!
