5 New Things Happening in St. Thomas
1 Little Caesars opened in Kmart… This is definitely not on my diet, but we did stop in and get a batch of crazy bread yesterday as a 1 time thing… just to test if this new establishment was quicker than the rest of the “fast food” restaurants here, and to taste a little bit of the USA. They were pretty fast. We were in and out even with a long line. Whoever owns that Little Caesars is bringing in the dough $$$$ (no pun intended)! It was really busy last night and as Jake put it “It is after prime eating time! It is probably crazy busy around lunch and dinner.”
2 I am working a second job and really enjoying it. Check it out if you get a chance; https://www.facebook.com/CokiBeachDiveClub. I went to school to be a teacher; In my main job I work for Corporate America where I follow directions and rules to do my job. I am not a person in marketing where I get to use my creativity, but I have taken over Coki Beach Dive Clubs social media (Facebook, Twitter, Cokidive.com) as a new project. I love the challenge and the competition. Jake has given me a lot of ideas, and him and I are brainstorming ways to make it just a little better all the time. We are a great team.
3 It is that time of year again… the time of year that I dread! HURRICANE SEASON! We are getting prepared because it is supposed to be an active season. This time of year is full of anxiety and stress. We are hiding away in a marina surrounded by mangroves in a very sheltered spot. We don't usually get big storms here until later on in the season, but you never know. The last few rain storms have been quite intense and it makes you wonder how this season is going to pan out. I am a bit nervous, but all we can do is hope for the best.
4 Dozer is on vacation. Fred (Jake's Dad) came down to St. Thomas to pick him up and take him to Florida. Jake's parent's dog was in heat we are hoping they made some puppies, we will wait and see. Dozer will be staying up there until we go to visit in August. We miss him so much. I feel like we sent our child off to summer camp. The first few days we didn't know what to do, and didn't realize how much time he takes up. We found ourselves feeling bored and a little lost on what to do next. We are in the swing of things now, and just feel the distance when we come home from work, and don't get him there greeting us, or when we are lying in bed wishing he was cuddling with us. He is having a good time though, and we will see him soon. :)
